EPC2901 – Teaching Practice 2b
Tuesday 27, October 2015, this was week two in UM Ghafa Kindergarten. In this day, I prepared to teach the lesson for the children in “KG 1” and it was about the transportations. I chose this topic because it was linked to their unit.
At the beginning of the lesson, everything’s was good in the morning circle, but I had a child from special education need so I have to offer a special explanation that gives to him the ability to understand the lesson.
The problem began when I sent the children to the learning centers and I let the child that from special education need share with them the activity, but they didn’t accept him because they cannot communicate with him or understand what he says.
I was trying to integrate him with the children to be able to deal with them and gain skills in learning but when the children refused him it made me feel the problem are worsening so I started to search for a quick solution to this problem.

I encouraged the children to be more helpful with others, and I talked with them about what the good about making friendships in the classroom. This was the best solution to this problem and its works well.
I think that not just this child is the only one is face this problem, but this problem occurs naturally with children in the classroom even if it was a normal child. In the next time, I will try to follow strategies to address the problem.
